Please come with your topical makeup on as you would normally wear it (be advised you will be washing it off) and bring your current eyebrow pencil/fill.
Our artist will use her experience and training to choose the best style, colour, and shape for your permanent makeup procedure. Eyebrows are designed using your facial structure and current eyebrow hair in conjunction with your desired result (e.g. a thin, medium, thick brow). Colours are typically decided by your natural hair and eyebrow colour. We will work together to create a brow that best compliments your facial features.
Making significant changes to your eyebrow shape is possible however it is best to stay close to what you naturally have. Major changes require high maintenance and are not the best choice for all clients.
Not entirely. Once we design and draw an eyebrow shape and you approve the shape we will shave or pluck away any stray hairs that sit outside of the new shape. This is important to allow you to fully see and appreciate your new eyebrow shape.
Some scars can be worked over, but they pose unique challenges. Scars can resist pigment or accept pigment too well which can lead to saturation inconsistencies. Please schedule a free consultation appointment. We will be able to properly assess your situation prior to booking a procedure appointment.
The rate and degree of fading will vary from person to person depending on the tattoo itself, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Darker pigment colours (e.g. browns and dark browns) are more resistant to fading in comparison to lighter colours (e.g. blondes and blonde/browns). Sun exposure, facial treatments, exfoliants, etc. will cause faster fading.
Eyebrow micropigmentation is expected to last 3-5 years. However, a colour enhancement may be wanted to keep the tattoo looking its best.
Topical anesthetics will be used to help create the most comfortable cosmetic tattooing experience for our clients. Eyebrow clients typically feel little to no discomfort - many clients have fallen asleep while getting their brows done!
Some bleeding is normal and to be expected during the procedure. Bleeding is always minimal. Factors that will affect bleeding will be discussed in length at your consultation or prior to your procedure appointment.
Eyebrow appointments are typically 3 hours long. During this time forms are completed, eyebrow shaping and design are created, the area is then numbed with topical anesthetics, and then tattooing begins.
Eyebrows heal in several stages and will appear differently throughout the process. The final healed result will typically be 30% lighter and slightly smaller than what the eyebrow looks like immediately after the appointment.
Procedure Day - Eyebrows may have slight redness and swelling
Day 2 - Day 3 - Eyebrows will appear darker and thicker
Day 4 – Day 9 - Eyebrows will begin to crust and shed crust
Day 10 – Day 14 - Eyebrows will appear to have disappeared, little colour shows
Day 14 – Day 28 - Eyebrow colour re-emerges and shape is becoming defined
Post Secondary Appointments - Eyebrows will be a consistent colour and perfect!

An important consideration to ensure a successful eyebrow procedure is:
Avoid tanning (sun, self-tanners, and tanning beds) for a minimum of 28 days before your appointment. Tanning masks your skin’s undertones. Your undertones are important to see clearly for colour selection. Failure to properly see and assess undertones can cause unwanted colour changes upon healing.
